Walking on sunshine does wonders for my skin.

The ugly red blotches have now subsided to a light shade of pink and I'm so thankful for that. : )

Since my fab weekend my spirits have been kept high. I've just been bumming around at home but keeping myself occupied with the countless tvb serials and of course, my latest favourite game insaniquarium. Haha it really is rather insane. I played till my finger hurt a little and my eyes felt quite bonked.

Other than that I went to work (at long last) on tuesday and saw Mary! Was quite a surprise to see her there. She was on an internship so yup perhaps get to see her again sometime this week or next. Suddenly in this 2 weeks I'm gonna be working quite a bit. : ) On the way back from work I could feel my legs screaming "I need an isqueeze now!" and it was divine to sink my tired legs for some kneading in that machine. OOooooo.

One squeeze and a short nap after I was all recharged to go watch Xmen 3. I hate such movies but it turned out rather exciting and I enjoyed it. Haha maybe now I will go watch part one and two to back track a little. Sitting in between two hardcore fans wasn't exactly my idea of a fun movie though. Before the movie started both of them told me to strictly NOT TALK TO THEM during any part of the movie. What the!!!

I'm gonna go for my free physical assessment test later then meet Cher for some I don't know what. Haha we're quite "eh let's meet up!" then decide what to do when we meet up kind. Yay!

This weekend has been the best ever since the downhill ride from the face issue.

Yesterday brought the 2 shopaholic sisters to Orchard for a spot of MAJOR shopping. What I mean by major?

Aps:
- Hp neck strap from Bally
- Wallet from Furla
- Some stuff from lmg

An:
- Butterfly hp chain from Furla
- 2 bags from lmg and Billabong
- Fox top (Quite retro, just the right top for Grease!)

It wasn't major in terms of quantity but more of quality stuff that burned a hole in both our wallets. I sourced out stuff for my birthday wishlist too. Ha ha ha!!

We ate MAJOR too. All being our all time favourites! Except for dinner where we decided to try out Ichiban Boshi (me having heard pretty good reviews thus far) and it really was fab and reasonably priced.

Then to end the night we headed for some singing and it was fun and wacky. Perhaps cos I haven't gone ktv-ing in a long while, it was a refreshing change and to make things even better, Jason dropped by and sang us a song. : ))) Then he sent us home nice and safe. Surprise visits always make me smile and feel super loved!

Today I went to watch my long-awaited Grease. The musical was reaaally nice and the songs jolted the dancing and swaying vibes! But unfortunately they didn't ask us to stand up and dance along but it was so retro-fied. I like. However there was a bit of cock-up at the beginning cos everyone had to squeeze through that same entrance and the stage was disappointingly small. If it was held at the Esplanade it would have been perfect!

Following that we hopped onto a bus to PS and met my family for dinner. Then came a shocker. My dad bought an ISqueeze! (He's usually quite thrifty) but yea what a pleasant surprise. : ) We came home and everyone had their turn at the isqueeze. I was gripping the end of the chair when I first tried it cos the kneading was damn harsh but I soon got use to it. So there's massaging now when we watch tv. YAY!

Jason came over to fix the com too and well I'm just super happy that we spent the day really nicely. Poor boy has quite a busy week ahead so I'm gonna just slack and relax the entire week. : ) I'm cooking again tmr!

I am soooo hooked onto playing Aps's NDS now. She's a little annoyed that I've gone past her records it's quite funny. She has this brain age game thing that is really nice to play. Trains your brain to work faster. Jason and I had alternate turns at playing this afternoon. He played 3/4 of the time though....... zzzzz

So that was how my great weekend went. At the end of it all, happy bunny is me!

Today for the first time I took the public bus into JB.

It was a really fast ride and my maiden trip to the woodlands checkpoint as a walking traveller so it was rather exciting! The Malaysian side was rather run-down but after today I guess all my fears and previous horrors instilled by my mother abuot JB and city square being such a baddie place were allayed.

We had nice and relatively cheap food (as compared to Singapore) and watched over the hedge. The movie tickets cost 6RM per person. I couldn't quite believe it! The show was really funny anyway so it was a good laugh : )

I managed to grab some Archies and a pair of paul frank slippers too before declaring myself flat broke. I brought the pathetic remainder of my last trip in KL and it was obviously insufficient. Haha so I resorted to signing card for a very pretty pair of flat pumps but there was no size so i had to leave without it. Sigh!

Cheers to more shopping with Aps tmr! Wahaha though I'm still a tad reluctant to go out cos my face is drying up and I feel like a mess, but the sales are too good to resist. M)Phosis and GG<5 on 50% and Burberry on 30%. HOW TO MISS YOU TELL ME!!!???

Happy weekend to all then!!!

Happy 21st anne.anne!!!!!!

I'm putting a stop to all my angry posts. Agitation leads to more outbreak!

Haha but anyway things are fine now so I'm definately much more lightened up. Last night was a great night out. Good dinner, smooth wine and lotsa laughs plus the most yummylicious cake ever. I went home a happy one! But the make up I slapped on to conceal my ugliness had its repercussions today. Sigh all for the sake of vanity! My legs were also screaming by the time I got home in those pointed heels. Though comfy but after ALOT of walking I definately felt like my toes were being tortured.

Today's a lazy day in for me with the tv as my companion.. Well I'm cooking again tonight! But very easy meal.. Chicken rice cooked by the rice cooker. Just marinate the chicken, dump it in and it'll do the cooking for u. I hope it turns out yum.

The weekend is coming! I'm gonna watch Grease. YAhoooooooooo!!!

Menu for dinner tonight:

--> Zha Choi soup with potatoes, peanuts and pork ribs
--> Baked beans with fine chopped onions and an egg
--> French Beans in sambal and a tinge of kikoman sauce

Simple chinese fare but it tasted good. I'm proud of my cooking tonight!

Well I decided to cook to lift my spirits up and to be in a good mood generally. A trip down to the dermatologist this morning taught me that I had to keep my anger and temper in check so as to aid the speedy recovery of my face. But it's gonna be some time before my face clears up so I have to be patient. My skin care regime has increased to 5 steps now though.. gotta persevere!

The skin doctor was a really nice lady. Thanks so much qing for the recommendation : ) At least now I have some kind of hope to hang on to.

Going to Tampines and hunting down the clinic by myself was no big deal. In fact it taught me to be more independent and to not rely on others to be my companion. Don't get me wrong. I am not angry anymore that you stood me up. Such things happen though it is within your control. I am more of disappointed in your follow up action.

Well, from now I shall try to think happy work happy!! Let's start with surfing the racha site... wahahahahha

My anger has subsided a fair bit.

Anger Management tactic 1:
Stick your head out of the window, inhale deeply and close your eyes for 10 seconds then exhale loudly.

I felt like my troubles and worries were dispelled immediately.

I need strength to see the side of people that I want to see. That they may not mean what they say when those hurting words come out. I am guilty myself of hurting other people as well at times by saying words that don't mean to come out that way.

My old self will come back. Slowly, but surely.

Be Strong!

I do not need your pity.

Things get from bad to worse.

I am so emotionally tired.

It's a rare saturday night that i'm alone at home. Cos Aps is away in Hk, Jason is away at a chalet and my parents have gone for their bowling game.

I'm lazy to organise an outing with anyone this evening because I've been feeling extremely lousy about myself. The only people I've been going out with recently are my family, Jason and Cher. This face thing is really getting to me and I feel damn ugly. Decided to make a trip down to the polyclinic to get a referral to the skin centre this coming week. Sigh.

On the brighter side, we had a nice cosy dinner this evening. Been quite a long time since dinner was so good. Dad's temper has lightened up a fair bit so everyone got to enjoy a nice dinner. To top it off during dinner we got news that Dad's car number came out in 4D!!! Not much money but it was still something to be elated about. We're now set for another good finger-lickin meal! : ))

I went out for a spot of shopping with my cousin this afternoon as well. It was a good trip cos I got to know her better and we each came back with some new stuffs but hers was wayy more massive. I bought myself a pair of black pointed heels from URS and a bra from esprit. The great singapore sale has started!! Quite a number of shops have already slashed their prices pretty much. I received news on when the mango sale is gonna be. Muhahaha drop me an sms if u wanna know! *warning: may or may not be accurate but u can look out closer to that date i suppose, or perhaps start sourcing the stuff that u want*

I felt like emailing this evening so I sent out several emails to my email people. Wahaha wanted to just get in touch with them once again and get updated on what's been happening to them.

Quiet sat night for me then.. I shall just switch on the aircon and relax with some tv or perhaps read my magazine. Ok I'll TRY to squeeze in some time for reading the basic theory book. I think I'm just gonna fail it anyway cos there is absolutely no motivation to study for it!

Btw Bel, what is it you wanted to tell me?

Updates on the past week.

KL trip:

I went there with the intention of catching up with the cousins and aunties, as well as to celebrate grandma's bday.

Ended up buying loads and taking part in my first ever complete vesak day walk! Having to keep up with the float and treading on really unfamiliar ground, it was quite a battle to keep my legs moving fast all the way till the end. The floats were really pretty. : )) And thanks so much kel for bringing me out and about! I think I tired that babe out with the 13 hour long shopping trip.

Got back on monday and had the worst ever bus ride. I was at the edge of my seat, alternating between clenching my fists and grabbing the front bar. The contractions were fast and furious and I wasn't quite able to hold out any longer. Yea as you woud have guessed, it was a damn bad stomachache. The "shit i'm having the runs" kind of stomachache. Must have been the teh-si that morning. Arrrgghhh and to top it all off when we got to the halfway stop (at long last after all my psyche to myself to hang in there! and counting every minute that went by), this old lady HAD to get off the bus in before me. She took a whole 2 mins i reckon. I wanted to just kick her out of the bus.

Glad to have been on familiar ground again. : ) The heat in KL wasn't exactly very hospitable and my skin got worse.

Chalet:

Was a good retreat after days of eating and walking in KL. Basically just lazed around and soaked in each other's company. Had a plan to go to wild wild wet on tuesday but it was unfortunately closed on that very day. The escape theme park is closed from monday to friday. ya man, HUH?!!

So anyway now I'm back home after about 7-8 days and I already see a long list of stuff waiting to be done but that aside, it's back to my vcds and being a tv junkie.

I didn't take any photos in KL mainly because I am undergoing a depressingly ugly stage. My face just gets worse each day. Therefore from tomorrow onwards I am offically on a detox diet just to carry out "operation save my face".

Will post some food pics up soon though. The food in KL is just, fantastic. It was a fulfilled trip cos I ate everything I wanted! And that included 3 strawberry filled donuts no less. Hurhurhur. I think of all the meals, the nandos one still scores number one. It is reallly delicious.

Sigh. I need to stop thinking about foood!

I'm feeling really sleeeeepy.

The mahjong gang is playing in the next room and the rest are over at the temple. So I'm just dwindling my time away by doing mindless surfing and just trying to entertain myself. The one I wish to chat with unfortunately does not have fortunate fate to be online at the same time as me. : ( Guess it always happens... when you want something it never comes..

Anyway dinner tonight was really good. : ) Second time to that restaurant and the food was really delicious! Had a good time laughing and joking in between my two cousins. Didn't take any pics though because I'm feeling super ugly-fied with my heat breakout. Argh. And so I wonder if I'll ever regain my once flawless complexion which now I realise I took for granted.

I had much to eat today too.. Typical of KL trips, but shiok nonetheless. Tmr I head back the teck seng for more of my favourite "har gow chee cheong fun". And I think I shall go get myself a dunkin donut too (at long last) too. Pile on the calories man.

Hmmm I bought myself an adidas top at quite a steal today too. About half the normal price so I grabbed it without much thought.

That's about it then... Maybe I should take a peek at the basic theory book. But its close to 2am! BAHHHHH.

Oh yeah one more thing I wanted to add to my east coast post was that Jason wanted to sit on the two people bicycle. Which I thought was really atas and that I wouldn't be caught dead in one of those unless the other party was unable to cycle at all. Ok now that was quite out of point. Hmm it just came to my head.

Finally got it connected. So here are the pics from quite sometime back, and yesterday too. : )

Cher and the famous Zion road char kway teow... it is under the "omg damn nice" food list Posted by Picasa

The last time I stepped into East Coast park was two semesters ago when we measured the tides. So yesterday I decided to venture to the east once again, this time on a bus from Jurong East.

Man... it took about one and a half hours. It had us on the bus going are weeee therrreeee yeeettttttt several times. Feeling liberated from getting out of the jerky bus, we were all hyped up about getting to the park! So we trudged to the underpass and out into the open where we could finally see the sea. Then we wondered where the bicycle rental store was. Made a hasty decision of turning left, and walked and walked and walked and walked and walked but there was no bicycle rental store. Having the sore gut feeling of having walked in the wrong direction, we then stopped a jogger to ask for directions. Shittemama one jogger told us it was in the opposite direction, about 3km down the road. *faints already*

So by the time we got to the bicycle shop, we had walked about 7km in total. Good training for the newpaper big walk right. Hurhurhur I haven't even signed up. Anyway then we cycled for about 2 hours before heading for queensway. Bought myself a new pair of sports shoes and we had the great wings and swedish meatballs over at Ikea.

Yesterday brought a new perspective to us. Communication which lacked a fair bit. Perhaps I demanded too much and had expectations that reached the sky. Who doesn't want a nice sweet romance right. But things can't be rosy all the time.

It was a very nice and sweet day though. : ) We made a promise to go cable ski-ing in about 2 weeks time cos it seemed like alot of fun! I'm really looking forward to that. My hols are flying past fast and furious. GAHHH!!! But I'm enjoying it : )

I was so knackered out yesterday after giving tuition to sean. He scored full marks for his math test! *BEAMS* but it was just a small test la. hahaha. My butt aches a little today and my arms are still 2 coloured. Geez!

I finally found the cable to connect my hp to the com but it ain't working. Wth. Pictures up when it finally connects I suppose!

Meanwhile I've gotta finalise my packing. KL here I come!

A bout of intestinal spasms yesterday definately wasn't an easy pain to deal with. Even with some oil rub and a warm pot of lovely maggi mee the pain persisted and got worse. After an early night's rest however, it is much better already. A little sign of the spasms still linger, but I'll live through it.

*edited*

Some tvb watching will lighten up the mood again.

Oh yes! After the long gruelling exam period I finally got to catch up with Cher over the phone again and it was wonderful : ) I missed talking to her so much like we used to in the past. Bitch fest to the max. Hurhurhur go out soon yeah babe!

Thursday, May 04, 2006

As planned... I went out for an entire day of hanging about town and then catching mi3 with Aps who graciously brought me along.

Movie was exciting!

My day was fab too! : ) : ) We did some window shopping and just walked walked walked before stopping by Bakerz Inn for some dessert for tea.

Three whole months of bliss, I'm finally here to enjoy it. : )

For now my legs ache from all the walking! *wuss wuss* And my eye pimple is near developing into an infection. Sigh infection laden, I am.

Monday, May 01, 2006

Monday blues were blown away when we woke up to a fab breakfast prepared by Dad. It made us so full we skipped lunch but inevitably smuggled in some food to the tummy throughout the day. We're just house of the non-stop eaters. Dinner was another fab meal prepared by Dad. He experimented with a new dish and it turned out really nice. : ) I'm so full I feel my tummy packed to the max! Shucks.

Wednesday is a mere 2 days away. In fact only one more day of cramming in stuff and I'm all set to Blahhhhh everything out on the paper then declare OFFFF! Yay. I really can't wait.

The only sodding thing is that I have an eye pimple. Sigh. I've never been quite healthy at all for the past 3 months or so. It's always either a fever, diarrhoea, eye pimple or infection or a facial infection or ulcer. Do hope for healthier days ahead. Or maybe go organic. HAHAHA yea right.

Well, Happy Labour Day!
